The Area 25 Fashion Experience is founded on the principles of design, culture, sustainability, and collaboration. Too often, artists are brought in at the end of the process, but we know that artists shape the very environments we are part of and fashion is no exception. 

Chicago’s fashion scene already thrives, and in collaboration with TMS, Alt Space Chicago is here to fortify that truth. Rooted in the Austin neighborhood, Area 25 creates a cross-gender, cross-generational experience that redefines what fashion can be.

This initiative utilizes denim from The Denim Project in Guatemala, sustainably sourced in partnership with Dark Matter Coffee, to highlight how global materials and local creativity can come together. The result is a fashion ecosystem that designs a future where choice is the standard, and sustainability is woven into every stitch.

We encourage designers and guests alike to look at clothing differently, finding inspiration in uniqueness and embracing the individuality that fashion makes possible.
